Work-Seeking Youth: It’s Easier to Find Good-Paying Jobs in Tulsa, OK

All the data led to an overall Net Employment Outlook of 17 percent, which is four percent higher than the outlook for 2014’s 1st quarter. The data mentioned beforehand did not necessarily put premium on older, more experienced employees over younger ones. Opportunities include positions in durable/non-durable goods manufacturing, wholesale & retail trade, information, professional, education, and health services, along with leisure & hospitality and government.

With this positive outlook for Tulsa’s job market, great jobs in Tulsa wouldn’t be hard to come by for months to come. “Employers expect slightly improved employment prospects compared with one year ago, when the Net Employment Outlook was 15 percent,” said Manpower spokesperson Kelly Beyer.

Top Tulsa Jobs from Staffing Experts Pave Green Country Career Paths

Oftentimes, a temporary job is a perfect starting place to hone skills in your chosen line of work. Such opportunities are particularly necessary for labor-intensive works in construction and other industrial fields. A staffing agency connects you to high-caliber companies that provide such opportunities. Most of these companies eventually offer temp workers permanent contracts, provided that they fit the bill.

Graduates of professional industries like engineering, on the other hand, would benefit in companies with a superior workforce. A competitive environment would provide the professional much room to grow as an employee and move up the ranks in the future. A dependable staffing agency would use your resume to profile and refer you to a company that would cater well to your career goals.

Some of the Most Rewarding Tulsa Jobs are in Science and Technology

Oklahoma puts great value in education, and this is something that is likely to pay off for the state in the years to come. According to an article published by The Oklahoman, the number of job openings in the state that require postsecondary education is expected to increase by 62 percent in 2020. Additional details were given by Georgetown University, thanks to a study they conducted about job availability for 2010-2020:

"Occupations in the STEM disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — will grow by 19 percent, according to the data, with 12,000 openings for applicants who have a bachelor's degree or higher, and 10,000 openings for those with an associate degree or lower."

This data shouldn’t come as a surprise to Tulsa residents, however, because the city takes pride in its thriving aerospace, energy, and healthcare industries. Thus, jobseekers can expect to see a large number of openings for profitable Tulsa jobs centered on these fields.
